Members of Atani Welfare Union in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, recently elected leaders to steer its affairs for the next three years.
To ensure a hitch free exercise, the immediate administration led by Mazi Armstrong Oddy Okorie set up an electoral committee consisting of Mazi Samuel Ogundu, President, Nzuko Arochukwu Abuja branch, Mazi Ogwo Okoronkwo and Adamazi Ezinne Chikodi.
At the end of the election, the following people were elected to oversee the affairs of the union. They are: Mazi Kanu M.D. Okoro was elected President, Pastor V.I.O Ezebuiro, Vice President, Nwamazi (Comr.) Stanley Ndubuisi, Secretary and Mrs. Comfort Alonge, Assistant Secretary. Others are Mr. Obinna Akah, Financial Secretary, Mr. Obinna Jombo- Ofo, Assistant Financial Secretary, and Mr. Chima Kanu as Treasurer.
Mr. Emeka Orjinta is to serve as the union’s Public Relation Officer while Mrs. Favour Chris was elected Provost.
The oath of allegiance and due diligence was thereafter administered on the team.
