Eze Eberechukwu Oji, A Monarch With Distinction

As I sat one night, musing over the activities of the day that is about going to sleep; in a flash, my mind traveled out in reminiscence; and I heard that sweet, gentle voice, always laced with infectious smile say, “ Ihe oma abasala n’ali Aro”.

This silent, spoken, and powerful phrase lit up my face with that gentle, infectious smile, that awoken my mind into consciousness.

It was the Mantra of His Eminence, Eze Eberechukwu Oji, the Eze Aro of Aro Kingdom; my Eze, our Eze; being re- echoed in the walls of the universe, in a tranquil state.

This quickly reminded me the words of the great English Poet, William Wordsworth which says, “ Poetry is a  spontaneous overflow of powerful emotions”.

While reminiscing on that marbled phrase, his addresses to Umu Aro, at different occasions, both online, and physical, his activities in National and International fora, within his short period of Ezeship began to do a replay in my Psyche . Seasoned words, served in pure, and undiluted Igbo Aro, nke ana awa awa, within Aro, and impeccable, Queen’s English in National, and International forums.

Overwhelmed by this powerful emotion, I could not help, but let the overflow, flow

Poetry as we know, has been long associated with Royalty, join me therefore, to celebrate our ebullient, amazing, wisdom personified, and dedicated Eze Aro, His Eminence, Eze Engr Eberechukwu Oji, with these few verses:

His Eminence, Eze Eberechukwu Oji, A Monarch Of Distinction

A Sovereign just and fair,

Our Eze, a leader beyond compare.

With wisdom guiding every deed, and step.

You rule with compassion, noble in creed.

Your heart beats strong for Aro Kingdom’s sake,

Justice and peace, your constant make.

Through trials and triumphs, you stands tall,

A shining star, for one and all.

With courage in your soul and grace filled endeavors.

You will lead Aro kingdom to a brighter place.

A true monarch, your legacy unspoken.

Blessed with joy, peace, and love shining through.

For under your rule, Aro will flourish and grow,

Grateful to God for our king, we proudly show.
